If your vehicle passed the emission test, you received a certificate ID number on the vehicle inspection report provided at the end of the test. The bottom portion of the inspection report can be mailed into the Ohio BMV to renew your vehicle registration. Or, you can also renew your vehicle registration online at www.oplates.com/.
If you renew on-line, you may be asked to provide the certificate ID number from the inspection report. If the BMV's computer system has already been updated with the testing information, you may not be required to provide this information.
As a final option, you can take the inspection report with you to any BMV Registrar office to renew the vehicle registration. The Registrar assisting you may ask to see the inspection report, so you will want to have this with you.
